With America’s Independence Day celebration fast commencing I’d like to point out that there is much that we Americans have in common with our European friends…like the leaders apparently separated at birth with hairstyles that respond to the weather in the exact same way.

The US Womens Soccer team defeated the host nation France on a day where record temperatures were reached in and around Paris.

American baseball rivals, the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox squared off against one another in a weekend series played in London. On Saturday, with warm and humid conditions and a center field fence that is only 385 feet from home plate the teams combined for 30 runs in the Yankees 17 to 13 victory.
Both the US and Europe have been sweltering under record breaking early summer heat with no end in sight. I thought it would be interesting to take a look at just how hot our summer is in the northern hemisphere.
For us in the Delmarva area of the good old USA we will see another warm day with highs in the low 90’s again under partly cloudy skies. Monday should be a bit cooler before the 90 degree heat returns for the rest of the week.
