Same old, same old today! The chances of scattered thunderstorms remain for Delmarva today as temperatures drop somewhat to the low to mid 80’s.
Rain chances will diminish a bit tomorrow under partly cloudy skies but the temperatures should climb back towards the upper 80’s.
Honestly, you don’t need me to tell you what to expect if you’ve lived in this area for any amount of time. As long as the cold and warm air masses battle each other along the stationary front we will continue to be exposed to fluctuations in warm temperatures and chances for storms.
So, just how long can we expect a front to remain stationary? Well, as long as the winds blow along and parallel to the front, nothing changes. It is not until the winds begin to blow perpendicular to the front that the system will exit the area. That change in wind direction is not expected soon.
Keep an eye on the wind direction. As long as the southwest air flow continues this pattern will continue.
