Temperatures will moderate somewhat to the mid 80’s today after the Salisbury area recorded its warmest day of 2019 yesterday; a balmy 88 degrees.
As often happens on a day like yesterday, a line of thunderstorms develops in the late afternoon and trudges eastward across the Chesapeake Bay giving us a quick dousing of rain, thunder, and lightning. My station picked up a quick three quarters of an inch of rain last night after 7 PM.
Partly cloudy skies will continue into the weekend, bringing slightly cooler temperatures and a chance of late day showers on Saturday and again on Sunday. Sunday will be considerably cooler.
