Rain greets us on the first full day of spring while down in Mexico, just outside of Cancun, thousands of people queue up at an ancient Mayan pyramid in Chichen Itza to witness the slithering snake, formed by the shadow on the steps of  the north wall.  And you thought Spring Break was all about fun and games at the pool!

This slithering snake like shadow appears each year on the arrival of the vernal equinox.  I hope it didn’t rain there.

Our good soaking of rain will come along with brisk winds that will last for a couple of days.  Temperatures will top out in the mid 50’s both today and Friday.
