Every weather model that I have monitored for the past week has indicated the potential for a winter storm developing late Tuesday night into Wednesday. I consider this to be a belated birthday present for my snow loving wife, who celebrates birthday number _5 today!
We are expecting snow beginning around the morning rush hour on Wednesday. The snowfall may be moderate to heavy for the morning before a transition to rain takes place in the afternoon.
I currently expect 2 to 3 inches of accumulating snowfall in the Salisbury area before the change over to rain. Once the rain arrives we will probably be looking at quite a slushy mess by Thursday morning.
Temperatures will continue to rise through the day on Thursday, leaving no traces of snow as highs will approach 60 degrees.
