The late 41st president, George H.W. Bush, who passed away at age 94 this weekend celebrated his 90th birthday by skydiving on a beautiful June day in 2014.
Mr. Bush oversaw the demise of the Soviet Union, promoted a “new world order” and urged Americans into service as one of “a thousand points of light.” He is remembered as a gentleman who served with honor. In his retirement he built strong personal bonds with former presidents Clinton and Obama and their families.
The late president will lie in state at the U.S. Capitol on Monday and Tuesday prior to a state funeral at the National Cathedral on Wednesday. The weather should cooperate with people who wish to pay their respects.
Today will be unseasonably warm with a sight chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon and evening. Monday will be sunny with temperatures near 60 degrees.
The remainder of the week should offer lots of sunshine with temperatures in the 40’s. Some sort of storm is brewing for next weekend.
