December probably will offer some fun to your pets. It begins today with near normal temperatures and the chance of rain, particularly in the afternoon and overnight into Sunday morning.
Sunday is expected to be balmy by December standards, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 60’s. There is even a chance of a thunderstorm. Don’t you love Mother Nature?
Looking back at November of 2018 reveals a month that started with springlike weather and ended with chilly winter weather. Overall, November ended 1.6 degrees cooler than normal. That is the first time this has happened this year since April. November was also the third consecutive month with above average rainfall.
As we pass deeper into December I would expect that we will begin to see traces of wintry precipitation as evening temperatures are likely to average in the upper 20’s to near freezing. At the current time it appears as though the first real opportunity may be next weekend. It is still too early to be certain.
