Official forecasts for today’s weather include the chance of showers in the area, but I expect it to remain dry both today and tomorrow. Thursday and Friday will be a different story!
Hurricane Michael appears to be a force with which to be reckoned when it roars ashore on Wednesday as a Category 3 hurricane near the panhandle of Florida. The storm is moving rather quickly on a northerly track that will turn more to the northeast after it makes landfall. Storm surge is expected to be devastating.
As all hurricanes do when they reach land the winds will diminish. Michael is still expected to be a tropical storm when it curves off the coast overnight Thursday into Friday. That could be right over us or just offshore!
