Hurricane Florence must be reckoned with in our area.  Please be aware that the eye of the storm is expected to lie within the cone around the highlighted area in the above image.  The hurricane is much bigger than the area shown in the cone.

It would be foolish to blow this off!  Hurricane Florence is a category 4 storm with sustained winds over 130 mph.  If the storm makes landfall south of us, as is expected, and then stalls, as is expected, then we face days of rain on already saturated soil.

This storm will clearly be catastrophic for some on the east coast.  Don’t be foolish.  Please prepare for the worst and hope for the best.  Our area could experience tropical storm force winds as early as Thursday.
