I photographed last summer’s partial solar eclipse by viewing it indirectly through a colander on my wife’s foot. This picture was recorded at 2:28 PM…right in the middle of an otherwise sunny afternoon. The outside temperature actually dropped over 4 degrees as the moon passed in front of the sun. There will be no eclipse today!
Today will be much like yesterday except it will be a bit warmer with a better chance of showers and thunderstorms. Yesterday’s high of 79 degrees was quite refreshing for August. Despite yesterday’s cool weather the month of August is still averaging 5.6 degrees above normal.
Hang in there and be patient. I think Thursday and Friday are going to be absolutely beautiful days!
