Our early summer heat wave continues today.  Yesterday’s thermometer at my weather station topped out at 98.4 degrees at 1:58 PM with a very light southwest wind.  The wind shifted ever so slightly to the northwest and the temperature dropped to 96 degrees just 30 minutes later.

With July 1 now being the hottest day of the year we can only wonder what today brings.  Let me tell you that it will be hot again, but I think we just miss out on another record high for 2018.
