I predicted this morning that I thought it unlikely that today’s high temperature would top  yesterday’s yearly high.  I was wrong!  Now I’ll look to see how much warmer it can possibly get today.

It’s not even 11 AM yet!  I wonder what the afternoon has in store.

Our early summer heat wave continues today.  Yesterday’s thermometer at my weather station topped out at 98.4 degrees at 1:58 PM with a very light southwest wind.  The wind shifted ever so slightly to the northwest and the temperature dropped to 96 degrees just 30 minutes later. With July 1 now being the hottest day…
