The thermometer topped out at a warm 85 degrees in Salisbury on this date in 1978 when Olivia Newton John and John Travolta debuted in their classic hit film “Grease”.  The winds were light at 8 mph and it did not rain.  That’s a good thing because water and grease don’t mix!
