Mar 4/Gone With the Wind

gone with wind

It’s fitting, I suppose, that this wicked and windy weather we’ve had ends tonight as the Academy Awards are presented. The Best Picture Award for 1939 was, of course, “Gone With the Wind”.

Another nominee for Best Picture was also weather related. I can remember, as a child, being scared to death of the tornado and the wicked witch in the “Wizard of Oz”. While it retains its popularity today, the only Oscar that the movie won was for original musical score.

This week’s weather will be much more tame!

A Look at the Week Ahead:  This first full week of March currently looks to be like this.
