March arrives with showers and temperatures in the mid 50’s. I don’t know that this classifies as like a “lion” or a “lamb”, as the old saying goes. We’ll just have to agree that it is not as good as we’d like, but certainly not as bad as it could be.
The second day of March will be more “lion” like as the winds should howl from an Atlantic nor’easter and temperatures dip into the mid 40’s. It appears as though we are dodging quite a potent storm.
The unusual month of February that passes in the rear view mirror was an extremely warm one, with an average temperature that was 7.7 degrees above normal. Even more amazing, I think, is that our temperatures have not dipped to as low as 32 degrees since President’s Day, on the 19th. That streak looks like it will continue through the first few days of March.
Specifically, rain should arrive by afternoon with highs in the mid 50’s. Friday will see temperatures drop into the mid 40’s with strong winds as showers become more scattered.
