FACT:  The average raindrop falls at a speed of 14 mph.  The maximum velocity that a raindrop can reach is about 20 mph.  Raindrops falling at that rate can cause significant erosion.  Drizzle, on the other hand, falls at 4.5 mph.

We’ll be seeing our share of raindrops today!  I’m going to walk sideways so I don’t get wet.

Today is expected to provide plenty of rain, mostly in the afternoon and evening with breezy conditions and high temperatures near 60 degrees.  The roller coaster weather continues tomorrow when skies will clear and daytime temperatures will drop back into the upper 30’s.
